Our story

Ever since I can remember I have always had a profound interest in world history, the people and events that came before me. This natural instinct slowly developed over time into a very serious passion for history. Unlike other collectors I knew exactly what I wanted to collect and read about. Militaria from the First and Second World War very quickly grabbed my attention. Being Italian-American I have always been drawn to the history of Italy, from the Roman Empire to the rise of fascism. To this day I am an avid collector of fascist era Italian militaria, and decided to name my business in honor of the famed Arditi of the First World War. The now famous assault units of the Royal Italian Army, were revered by their contemporaries for their bravery and heroic acts during combat, earning them the name of “Arditi”. Arditi loosely translates to “the daring ones”, it is this spirit that we wish the emulate while hunting for relics, and how we conduct ourselves in our business dealings.

I have always strongly believed that historic artifacts are better left in the hands of a passionate collector, then in the large warehouses of museums. I decided to start the “Daring Ones” because I thought that I could use my collector experience to create a dealer site for collectors, by collectors. In recent years the market has become flooded with fake and dodgy pieces, the collector needs to know there is a dealer who will not compromise in their ethics and will only offer 100% authentic pieces. We hope that you will enjoy the items that we bring to market, and rest assured that your experience with the “Daring Ones” will be superior to all others.

While not limited to these items, we offer a large selection of German Third Reich artifacts from the Second World War. We firmly believe that these items are historically valuable, and deserve their place within a collection. What we will not tolerate are those who purchase these items for revisionist history, or glorification purposes. Those who are not serious collectors or students of history have no business owning these important relics. We pride ourselves on our ability to find the perfect home for each historic artifact that we handle.
