Offered here is a lovely example of a M40 German helmet shell from WW2. This shell was pulled out of the woodwork recently. This M1940 helmet is a single decal and retains a great amount of its original paint. What’s nice about this shell is that it is totally untouched. The decal is in good shape as well. Nice consistent patina all throughout the shell, with some nice wear on the top as helmet collectors like to see. This shell is nice on its own, however if one were to add a nice liner this helmet would look great on a mannequin for display. This helmet with original liner and chin strap, in this condition for retail for about $2,000. Nice opportunity for the collector!
