Offered for sale is this excellent set of a War Merit Cross, and its corresponding document. This set was a bring back souvenir from an American soldier stationed in Germany during WW2. This medal and document were awarded to a German soldier during the war. What is interesting is that it appears that the GI who captured this item transcribed some notes on the top of the award document. Likely just trying to decipher its meaning. A very neat piece!
