WW2 German Army Officers Dagger Engraved
Offered here is a very lovely example of a WW2 German army officers dagger. These daggers were worn by officer of the Heer. This dagger was produced by the Gustav Spitzer firm of Solingen Germany. What makes this dagger incredibly unique is the fact is nicely name engraved. The dagger itself has some spots of patina, but overall it’s really fine. The blade is bright, and free from any polishing or sharpening. The scabbard is also quite nice, I like where the swastica has been overtop of the scabbard so long that patina has formed around it. The scabbard is free from any dents. The grip is also quite lovely. It features a gorgeous two tone color from exposure to light over the decades. The grip is excellent and free from any crips or cracks. Overall this dagger is really a supreme example, made by the uncommon maker of Gustav Spitzer, outstanding condition, and name engraved to boot. This dagger would make an excellent candidate for a research project.
