Original WW2 Italian War Merit Cross
Offered here is a very nice example of the Italian War Merit Cross for the Royal Italian Army. While not exactly the same, if I can make the comparison I would say this is the “Bronze Star” of Italian medals. Awarded to those who showed gallantry and courage in battle. This one was at one time sewed directly onto the recipients uniform, as indicated by the black stitching on the top of the ribbon. Some patina on the reverse of the cross, but all around great condition!
