Offered for sale is a wonderful example of a WWI imperial German helmet shell. This shell features a very rare and desirable “Isonzo” style camouflage paint. The photos do not do it justice, but there is a great reddish-brown color with lots of red hue to the paint when in natural light. This helmet would have been issued to a German soldier that was sent to the Italian front during WWI. There were far fewer German soldiers stationed in the Italian campaign compared to the eastern or western fronts, making these Isonzo camo helmets quite rare.
