Offered for sale is an excellent example of a WW2 German Hitler Youth knife. This knife would have been issued to a boy enrolled in the Hitler Youth during the Third Reich period of German history. This knife is a transitional example, meaning it has both an RZM code, as well as a stamp from the manufacturer. The overall condition is very good. None of these knives are ever mint, as they were issued to boys who tested their durability. The blade was not heavily sharpened, and is free of chips. The scabbard retains much of its original finish, is free of any dents, has leather hanging attachment and claps, and the leather is nicely supple still. The grips are free of any cracks or other damage. The diamond insert wiggles freely, something all collectors like to see on these knives. Overall, this is a solid example of a transitional HJ knife!
