WW2 German Officers Dress Sword Eickhorn
Offered here is a very nice Eickhorn made dress poker. This sword is right out of the woodwork and has never been in a collection before.
I think the nicest aspect of this sword is how the patina is completely even throughout the entire sword, ensuring it’s been together for 80 years. This sword has a nice patina, the scabbard retains much of its original paint, but has some rust towards the bottom. No big dents or cracks in the metal that I can see. The blade is nice and bright with some cosmetic patina that will likely wipe off with an oily rag. One of the nicest aspects of the sword is that its Bakelite grip is totally intact. So many of these swords suffer from cracked or chipped grips.
