This Iron Cross would have been issued to a German soldier who exhibited bravery or leadership qualities on the battlefield. This example is in very nice condition, with no major damage to the core or frame. This medal appears to be marked on the ring, however I cannot make out the maker mark. Accompanied is the original ribbon as well, exhibiting the same level of patina as the cross. Very nice award that are gaining in popularity!
