Offered here is an exceptional example of a First World War German sawback bayonet. These bayonet are typically found not in the best of condition, and the majority of them typically have large dents in the scabbard. This bayonet is very clean, there are some very small dents in the scabbard, but overall its quite nice. If you look closely you can see traces of a green camouflage paint that has worn away. The handle and blade are also both very nice, the blade still covered in some grease. It is exceedingly rare to find these sawback bayonets in such fine condition!
